Built for smart people. Made for high fun.
The highly addictive and exciting gameplay of Hexabattle will keep you hooked to the game for hours. You have to keep your focus or you won’t stand a chance versus your enemies in the fast and action-packed reinforcement and combat phases.
Our clean and intuitive interface will help you to focus on the important things. The colorful map, paired with the high contrast of the input control, lead to a beautiful and ageless composition.
Buying and moving troops, upgrading your city, the market or the walls and initiating heroic battles are only a few of the many possibilities Hexabattle offers. The game is easy to learn but on your way to master the game you will come across a lot of small tricks to maximize the efficiency of your moves.
To meet the standards of your crisp iPad display, only high resolution textures were used for the interface. No worries: The performance doesn’t suffer from the sharpness of our look!
How to play
Hexabattle is a strategic multiplayer game for the iPad. You can either play with your GameCenter friends by sending them an invitation or use the auto-match function to play with people around the globe. Hexabattle is all about standing your ground and not being afraid to enter hostile territory. The player with the best strategy will win the game and become the sole ruler of the Hexaworld.
The game starts automatically with the reinforcement phase as soon as enough players have entered the game. You will start with only one capital city that belongs to you. Gold is automatically generated every turn. The HUD-elements on the top show you everything you need to know. To open the shop you can use the button on the bottom left.
Reinforcement phase: In the reinforcement phase you are preparing your empire for the coming combat phase. Set the troops you have available on one of the tiles that belong to you. You can use the shop to buy further troops if you have enough gold left. (In addition you can upgrade your wall or market in the shop too. Those upgrades will give you a defense boost or increase the gold you generate every turn, so choose wisely.)
Combat phase: This is where the real fun begins. The combat phase involves multiple fights and troop movements you can initiate. Only one player at a time can make a maneuver. Per maneuver you can move troops from one tile to an other tile. If you are more interested in expanding your empire, you can also attack one of the neighbor tiles. Neutral tiles have no troops on them and can be conquered easily. You will have a harder time taking away a tile from an enemy, so be prepared. Keep in mind that at least one troop must be left on the tile you want to move the troops from.
How a fight works: Each attacking troop has a defined possibility to kill a defending troop and vice versa. A fight is only won, if the attacker kills all of the defending troops otherwise the fight is lost. If a fight is lost, both sides, attackers and defenders, loose some troops that were killed in the fight. The remaining attacking troops get placed back on the field, where they were coming from. If a fight is won the remaining attacking Troops get placed one the newly conquered field. The possibility for a troop to kill an other troop depends on the field, on which the fight takes place.
Grassland/City: An attacking troop has a 70% chance to kill da defender and a defending troop has a 70% chance to kill a attacker
Mountain: An attacking troop has a 70% chance to kill a defender but a defending troop has a 85% chance to kill a attacker
Forest: An attacking troop has a 85% chance to kill a defender but a defending troop only has a 70% chance to kill a attacker
How the game ends: You lose the match if you lose your capital - simple as that. So your main goal has to be to conquer the capital of an enemy and in the meantime protect yours from getting overwhelmed. You can’t hold the pressure put on your capital? The capital of an enemy can also become your new headquarter. To win a match you need to be only player left that still has a capital city.
Good Luck - you will need it!
